The Garage Door Company

"The guy who came to give us a quote Paul was great. Pragmatic, responsive and knowledgeable and no hard sell. The installers were also clean efficient, friendly and did a great job. Side hanging doors look great and fitted well. The only reason for 4 stars is that while the staff in the Leicester office were lovely when I could actually speak to them, more often than not when you call them you can't get through and you either give up or you get put through to Sheffield office who are also lovely but it did really make me question the purchase at one point how bad the contact and call answering was. I am guessing this is not a Leicester staff issue as when you could get them they were really helpful but they seem woefully understaffed and that spoiled an otherwise good experience and would probably make me hesitant to recommend as wholeheartedly as I otherwise would have"

"Amazing service! Lindon was easy to talk to and did the job efficiently! Cheers!"

"LMS garage doors gave us a very personal service. Found them reliable and true to their word. Very approachable with any queries. Replaced springs of our up and over automatic garage doors gave us a very personal and efficient service. Recently replaced our garage door fobs. No job too big or too small. Really appreciated."

"I love my new garage door! They came and fitted it looks beautiful! Super happy definitely recommend this company! - great service and professional throughout"

"My initial experience with this company was fine. Everyone was reasonably polite and came out when they said they would. The fitting went relatively smoothly, although one of the boards they brought to finish off the top of the door was the wrong size so the fitter came back the following week to put the correct one in - he told me the surveyor had measured incorrectly. After about 6 months however I noticed the door was pulling out of the wall (images attached). Looking closer they had used about 6 screws on each side, had no raw plugs and about half the fixings went into mortar rather than brick - which had then crumbled and allowed the screw to fall out. I contacted the company, initially by email as they were shut when I noticed the issue, received a partial response asking for my post code which I'd already provided. I answered with this again, received no response so instead rang the company the next day. The person in the office denied the person who'd emailed me existed, so I re-explained my problem to her. She arranged fitters to come out - however there was a weeks delay before they could come. They have now come and rectified the problem and I'm hoping there won't be further issues. The reason I'm only giving them 2 stars however is no one has apologised for the poor fitting job, admitted it probably should have been done to a better standard, or made any suggestion they are going to re-train their fitters to do it properly in future. I'd therefore avoid this company as they will quite probably do a shoddy job on the next house as well."
