"Post sale and customer relations terrible. If you are not concerned on these, ok go for it with effective home. When I noticed the ratings most of the customers were not happy about after sale experience. The agent had promised to contact him directly if any issues...what a joke it turned out to be."

"Extremely Poor Aftercare After a Promising Start Our experience with Effective Homes started well. The initial appointment was informative, everything was clearly explained, and the installation was arranged quickly. The solar panels were fitted without any issues, and the Hive and FoxCloud 2.0 apps were installed on our phones. However, we received no guidance on how to use the apps, how to manage charging and discharging, or how to optimise the system to actually benefit from the solar panels and batteries. We’ve since discovered that the batteries have never discharged to the house since the installation in August. This means the system we invested a significant amount of money into has not been working as intended at all. As a result, our electricity bills have gone up rather than down β€” which is incredibly frustrating and, frankly, has made us angry given the cost of the system and the promises made at the start. We contacted both FoxCloud and Effective Homes a week ago. We’ve spoken to several people, all of whom promised call-backs that never happened. We are still waiting to find out what the issue is and how they plan to resolve it. The aftercare has been shocking, and it’s extremely disappointing considering how positive everything seemed at the beginning."

"Installation of solar panels on neighbour's property which trespassed. Trespass onto my semi-detached property (left one) by about 30cm along depth of roof with potential to de-value both properties. Did not respond via neighbour to rectify until surveyor and solicitor had to get involved to move them. Still out of pocket for surveyor and legal costs as a direct result of their incompetence."

"Signed a contract for solar panel installation and paid Β£500 deposit. Survey completed and never heard back. I tried to contact them several times and was fobbed off, nobody would answer the phone or return voicemails. Made a complaint when i was eventually contacted back several weeks later and still didn't hear back after this. I had to raise a credit dispute to get my money back. I left a negative review on trust pilot and quickly received a phone call. Advised they cannot fit solar panels if you have a rear extension as scaffolding will be required in both your neighbours gardens by 2 metres each side. They also cannot fit scaffolding to terraced houses unless you have an alleyway as they cannot walk theough your house. If your neighbour also has a rear extension it is impossible to get solar panels as they cannot fit scaffolding apparently. They then cheekily asked me to remove my negative review and even tried to bribe me with a very small amount of money. I declined and they then contacted trust pilot to say I'm not a genuine customer. After I proved I was my review was verified. This is a very bad company who will sink very low in order to maintain their false persona that they are a good company with positive reviews. I have since gone onto contact other companies who have better product, warranty, customer service and can do the scaffolding either no issues. Avoid at all costs!"

"We really had a very positive experience, from start 10/10/22 to finish 17/01/23. We start our journey with Sam, then Niall took over, and he went that extra mile to make sure our system is installed asap. Niall answered to all my 1000’s emails with ???, about every aspect of the solar system, actually, he was off over the Christmas period and still, worked and arranged to have the birds protection added to the installation. THANK YOU. Then we had Antonio, Andy and Dan, the installers, they did a brilliant job, neat and tidy, Antonio stayed late to make sure the system was commissioned that day and explained everything about it. I am still getting in touch with him now when I have questions. Brilliant AA Team, they really deserve to be praised. THANK YOU. Then we had Laura from the office, dealing with payments and paperwork, she was very kind and professional, she organised the rubbish and scaffolding removal and she actually took Β£200 off from the final bill as we had 4 roof tiles cracked by the scaffolders. THANK YOU. Off course we had the scaffolders, regardless 4 tiles broken, those people are hardworking operatives. THANK YOU. We do recommend Effective Home to anyone as we received a very professional experience."
